Sneaking Out the Back Door Writen By: Gilbert/Harrison/Morley/Saxton/Timms |
The words for this song were written late 1990, but with the pressures of writing and preparing for Head First the song didn't get "put to music" until late 1991. This is another song that didn't get too much play, the version on Head First is also off of the Grey Goose tape from 15th January 1992, and as well as suffering the dull sound, it is also cut a little short (due to being the last song before Sid turned the tape over). But this is the only version we have, so enjoy.
Hot night I'm burning inside
Aiming for the bullseye but I'm shooting too wide
Then I see you smiling as sweet as can be
The Cheshire Cat is grinning and it's time for tea
We're walking home I'm too scared to ask
Just what's in your mind what's in your past
The silver moon is rising and girl it's not alone
Let's go like the natives in the City of Rome
Sneakin out the back door
Run across the yard
Sneakin out the back door
If loving you was easy why is living with it hard
On the stairs hiding from the night
Hiding in the shadows on a Saturday night
Then the signals change the lights turn from red
Carry you to Heaven take you to my bed
Huh
Sneakin out the back door
Run across the yard
Sneakin out the back door
If loving you was easy why is living with it hard
Sneakin out the back door
Run across the yard
Sneakin out the back door
If loving you was easy why is living with it hard
