Settle the Score Writen By: Harrison/Saxton

Settle the Score has the distinction of being the first song written from scratch within Headstrong. Both the music and lyrics were written after the band finalised the line-up in early 1989. The lyrics themselves, though written for Headstrong, actually continue a story started in a song by a band called Stella (which became New World Asylum) who wrote a song called Rough Justice which covered the ficticious events leading up to the story told by Settle the Score. The song is also one of only 2 songs (the other being Love Em and Leave Em) to be performed at nearly every Headstrong gig, most other early songs once they left the set were never heard again.
