Too Good For Lovin

Writen By: Gilbert/Harrison/Morley/Saxton/Timms

Probably the lightest song in the set, traditionally the point for the punters to go to the bar, Too Good For Lovin is the only song to feature keyboards and vocals at the same time throughout the entire song. The song was inspired by a comment from Tammy but the song is NOT about her. There is a difference from a songwriting perspective, especially from a married songwriters perspective.

When I first met you, you weren't very old
Too old for kids talk, but too young to hold
But now the petals they start to unfurl
Reveal the woman behind the girl

They say you're too good for loving
Yes you're good, and that's no lie
They say you're too good for loving
Well I know what's good for me
And I'd like to try

The years go by and you start to bloom
More faces turn as you enter the room
Now the flowers are bearing their fruit
You hold the ace of the highest suit

They say you're too good for loving
Yes you're good, and that's no lie
They say you're too good for loving
Well I know what's good for me
And I'd like to try

Your life is rich with what money can't buy
Try a little harder you could own the sky
Don't try to plan things live a day for a day
Got a smile inside they can't take that away

They say you're too good for loving
Yes you're good, and that's no lie
They say you're too good for loving
Well I know what's good for me
And I'd like to try
