This song is without a doubt Headstrong's "Smoke on the Water". It soon found itself at the end of the set and then in the encore. The lyrics were originally written for Stella in 1983 as "Love Em and Leave Em" (but not used) with the first two verses exactly as they appear here but a completely different chorus and 3rd verse. The lyrics were then recycled whilst Dean was in Predator and the song was changed from 1st person to 3rd person and became "Tiger Queen" (but not used). The third verse of "Tiger Queen" was then converted back to 1st person, a new chorus and middle 8 written and the final version of "Love Em and Leave Em" was born. The song was deliberately NOT put on Head First as it's raucous high power sound was not expected to translate well to the studio environemnt. The version on Days of Darkness was recorded at Ilkeston Wine Vaults on 27th of June 1989.
