The majority of the lyrics for Caught in the Act were written by Steve, and is the third song in the initial set to be about murder (what does that say about Heavy Metal ?). The song stayed in the set, usually in the opening block, right up until the start of the Head First tour. The version on the Days of Darkness live section was recorded at the Ilkeston Wine Vaults on the 27th of June 1989.
